If you know Adam and I really well, you know we LOVE to travel abroad and learn about foreign cultures. Earlier this year we discussed going to China for a couple weeks with a guided tour group. We decided against this due to increasing costs at CU Denver. We also considered visiting New York since neither of us has been. Ultimately, we decided to stay close to home this summer in order to tile our dining room and save money. But this doesn't mean we aren't going to have some fun this summer!
Our first actual fun summer thing we've done this year is go to Elitch Gardens! Can I just say...we had a BLAST! We were there the entire day and used up nearly every moment on the rides. The park is a little pricey, but with a great coupon and the water park opened, it was totally worth it! We spent the morning riding the roller coasters, some of which I nearly peed my pants on I was so scared. The afternoon was spent in the water park where we nearly froze to death, but had a great time nonetheless. To top the night off, we rode the ferris wheel and then watched the firework show. It was a perfect ending to a perfect day! We had SO MUCH FUN! As for our next summer activity...we're going camping with Marilyn and Dennis next weekend. More on that later!
