The happiest day of my life!!!

On September 12th, 2009, me and Adam were married in the St George temple. The night before, we held a "preception" for friends, family, and neighbors. Although we didn't get to enjoy the festivities (meaning food) because we greeted people for most of the evening, we did enjoy seeing and chatting with old friends and meeting new people. To top off our fabulous preception was the cutting of the cake, which to everyone's surprise turned out to be quite the feat of the evening. Though Adam and I specifically planned not to smash cake in each others' faces, Adam accidentally nearly dropped the cake, which splattered onto my chest. Though at the moment I was absolutely horrified, I now can look back and laugh and be glad it happened. Weddings certainly can't be perfect, how boring that would be. :)
Our wedding day, however, was nearly perfect--except for maybe that wonderful St George heat. Our temple experience was amazing, and it was incredible just spending the day with loved ones outside the temple and at the luncheon. We are so grateful to have such wonderful, loving, and supportive family on both sides, and couldn't have asked for a better wedding day.
Well, since this post hasn't been sappy enough, I just thought I'd finish off by embarrassing Adam and telling him how much I love him and am honestly the luckiest and happiest woman to be married to him. He's a very hard worker, supportive and loving, I don't know what I'd do without him. Most definitely the best friend and husband I could have ever asked for. Okay, enough of the sap, but thanks so much to friends and family who have supported us along the way and made the sacrifice to come to the wedding. We love you all!

  4. Congratulations Rachel! I can't believe we're all old enough to be married and having babies. Wasn't it yesterday we all went to Disneyland together and you were like... SIX years old? You looked gorgeous on your wedding day. I love the simplicity yet elegance of your style. Can't wait to see more pictures!
