Hiking the Subway/ Family trip to STG

13 mile hike, baby! One of the most beautiful canyons in the world, combined with wonderful company. Seriously, what could be better? Originally we'd invited 12 people to come on the Subway hike at Zions National Park with us, but only 9 were able to make it. Note to people who couldn't come-we missed you! :) Anyways, we'd planned on and trained for a 9 mile hike since that's what the Zions pamphlet said about the hike, but it ended up being 13 miles! It included swimming through ice-cold waters and under rocks, as well as repelling down cliffs. The scenery included beautiful waterfalls, tremendous rock formations, a colorful forest, and frogs mating. (Adam really appreciates nature).

Prior to the hike, we spent time with the Chandlers in St George, and in particular, went on a fun outing with the grandkids.

Unfortuntely, we didn't get any pictures of our grand ride home from St George, but to add to the drama of our wonderful vacation to St George and Zions, after hiking for 13 miles one day, the next we made a 14 hr drive home to Colorado with a uhaul trailor. Can we say, bad idea? We were incredibly sore, but just grateful we made it home safely and now our proud owners of a piano. Anyways, thank you to everyone who helped move the piano! You're awesome and we couldn't have done it without you!
